14 Days Safari Best Of Uganda and Rwanda

Day 1                                                      Arrival

Arrive in Entebbe you will be picked up by your tour guide and transfer to Via Via Hotel in Entebbe for Overnight. 

Day 2                            Kampala city tour and transfer to Jinja town

After breakfast you will drive to Kampala change money have a little site seeing around the city and later after lunch you continue to Jinja town. Dinner and overnight at Nile Porch. 

Day 3                                        Free Day in Jinja 

Today you will have a free day in Jinja. There lots of optional activites you can do such as White Water Rafting, Quad Biking, Mountain Bike Cycling in Jinja town or threw the Villages and Nature, Village Walk, Visiting the Source Of the River Nile, Visiting Jinja town and alot more. Overnight at Nile Porch.

Day 4                            Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park 

Today after breakfast you will depart for the most beautiful protected area in Uganda: Murchison Falls National Park. Along the way you can visit the Rhino Sanctuary. 

Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge. Safari Tent Sharing Bathroom 

Day 5                           Game drive, Boat Safari on Nile to the Waterfalls and Hike the falls.

After an early morning breakfast, you will enjoy a half-day game drive on the northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing elephants, giraffes, lions, hartebeests and a variety of birds. After lunch we will go on a Nile cruise for game viewing at close quarters. Hike to the Top of the fall and later return to the lodge. 

Dinner and Overnight at Fort Murchison Lodge Safari Tent. 

Day 6                                  Transfer to Fort Portal.

You will depart Murchison Falls  National Park after an early breakfast and head towards Kibale Forest. You have a scenic drive and pass big tea plantations which you can visit and meet the Locals working the the plantations. You will have great views of Crater Lakes and good chance of seeing few primates like the Olive Baboons, Red Tailed Monkeys among others along the way to your Camp.

Day 7            Chimpanzee Trekking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today the forest opens its doors in the afternoon for a sensational chimp tracking. Kibale Forest is reputable of having the greatest variety and highest concentration of primates in East Africa. Enjoy a guided nature walk in the tropical rainforest in search of the wild chimpanzee, red-tailed monkey, black-and-white colobus monkey and many others. In the afternoon you drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, and if time allows you can do an evening safari in the park. Dinner and overnight at Bush Lodge. Safari Tent 

Day 8                Game drive and Boat Safari on Kazinga Channel 

The day begins early when we start with a morning game drive and head to the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs. We search for lions, elephants, buffaloes and other wild animals in their natural habitat before returning for lunch. 

In the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, a natural channel between Lake Edward and Lake George.

Day 9                          Transfer to Ishasha and afternoon Game Drive.

After breakfast  you will take the relaxing drive heading to Uganda’s most popular game park, Queen Elizabeth National Game Park. You will have lunch en-route at a local restaurant and on arrival at the park if time allows, you will enjoy a game drive through the park. Dinner and overnight at Enjojo Lodge. Safari Tents

Day 10                           Transfer to Bwindi National Park 

Today you will have an early breakfast and then you can have a short game drive in the park and later continue to  Bwindi National Park. You will stay at Rushaga Gorilla Camp which is just 5 minutes away from the gate of Bwindi Impenetrable Park. 

Day 11                               Gorilla Trekking


The highlight of your safari: a meeting with the gentle giants of Bwindi! Especially hikers will love the tracking in the beautiful ecosystem of the park. It is difficult to foresee how many hours you will hike; it may take two to eight hours. Expect to walk a long distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. But it will definitely be worthwhile as you observe them closely while they eat, play and rest. A unique and unforgettable experience! For conservation purposes, time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. The ranger guide always briefs you on how to behave with these giant apes.

Day 12                         Transfer to Kigali 

Today you will cross the border of Uganda to Rwanda and transfer to Kigali. You need to make your documents ready for crossing the border ensue to get a Visa and have a valid Yellow Fever Card. Later you will be transferred to Step Town Motel for overnight. 

Day 13                          Visit the Genocide Memorial and Nyamata Church

Today after breakfast you will visit the Genocide Memorial and Education Centre, which opened in 2004. It’s a dignified tribute to the victims, including a poignant Children’s Memorial, and a detailed description of the darkest hour in Rwanda's recent history and after you transfer to Nyamata to see the Church were the Genocide happened. After you return to Kigali have lunch and Dinner and Overnight Step Town Motel for overnight.

Day 14                       Flight Home 

Depending on your flight time, discuss with your driver guide what time you have to leave to make it in time to Airport. You can visit some of Kigali’s craft markets to browse amongst the pottery, carvings, batik, weaving, sculpture, musical instruments, leather and fabrics on offer. Prepare to use your haggling skills! All activities and purchases today are at your own cost. Sadly it is the time to say goodbye to your driver guide and Rwanda.
